5 Pakistani Pop Acts that Dominate via the Internet
These are the top 5 Pakistani pop acts with the most fans on Facebook/views on Youtube.
1. Atif Aslam reigns supreme in Pakistan. He is ultimately the King of the Pakistani pop industry with well wishers and supporters around the world…or should I say he has Aadeez all over the world. Atif has roughly 51 thousand fans on Facebook and on Youtube his most viewed video has over 4.75 million views.
2. The band Jal was once at the top of its game with countless fans, unfortunately the band’s fan base has dramatically decreased over the years due to the band’s, lets be honest, lame songs….However Jal still has about 42 thousand fans on Facebook and their highest viewed video on Youtube has reached over 950 thousand views(its pertinent to say that the video was put on Youtube over 2 years ago)
Atif Aslam and Overload as Judges on BDC 03 March 2010 – Battle Of the Bands at Beaconhouse
Once again this year, Beaconhouse Defence campus hosted their annual “Battle of the Bands 2010”. With well reputed schools and colleges invited to participate in the event including AC, The Lahore Alma, LGS, LACAS, and The G.C University.
The judges of the battle were Mr. Atif Aslam, and the members of the Overload band, Syed Farhaad Humayun, Mahmood Rahman, Sheraz Siddiq and Meesha Mahmood.
The event was opened by BDC’s own school band and then after intervals of performances the BDC-ites performed at the event but did not compete. Zaran Najeed, the former deputy head boy of BDC and YMC finalist rocked the show with his Eminem’s “slim shaddy” Rap performance. Almost all the 800-900 BDC students were singing with him which made the atmosphere really amusing. The mind blowing performance by the youngsters made it really hard for the judges to decide who the best is.

Remember all the days you spent laughing endlessly at school, because there would always be this bunch of dudes who had a knack for cracking people up with their hilarious take on anything and everything? Sometimes all it would take was a look to set the laughing fits off. Now imagine being able to watch those guys onstage weekend after weekend, doing nothing but make you laugh.
If this sounds to you like a scenario you could get used to, the Aisa Kerogey Tou Kon Ayega (AKTKA) Urdu improv troupe has exactly what you need. Founded by Azfar Ali, who himself had delivered side-splitting commentary on life and weirdness with his cohort Mani on radio for the longest time, AKTKA is a remedy of sorts.
